Ring in the season with your favorite music from theater, television, and film! AFB's annual holiday production hauls out the holly with selections from the stages of Broadway, cinematic classics, and the heart-warming television specials of our childhood.
"It's the most wonderful time of the year," as the song goes. The program has music from movies like "Miracle on 34th Street" and "Polar Express". Then we have your ticket for classic songs from "Here's Love", "Sound of Music" and "Mame". And we will snuggle up with Charlie Brown, The Grinch, and our favorite Christmas TV specials.
The concert also features a work from our student composer Michael Faire, a music major at Reinhardt University and principal bass trombonist of the Alpharetta Symphony Orchestra. AFB will premiere his new work for Concert Band, “The Distance Between Us”.
Seating capacity at the concert venue is limited, so order your tickets today. Tickets are $20 for general admission and $15 for seniors, and $10 for students.
The concert will also stream live from AFB's YouTube channel.
The program includes:
"Overture to Miracle on 34th Street" by Bruce Broughton
"The Most Wonderful Time of the Year" by Pola and Wyle
"Christmas on Broadway", arr. by John Higgins
