Join us for a morning of hands-on nature play, problem-solving and cubby building at our Knots & Shelter Building Holiday Workshop!Children will learn basic knot-tying skills and use them to build shelters using ropes, tarps and natural materials. We’ll explore how knots work, practise tying them in different ways, and put them to the test while creating real structures together.
This session is all about:
- Learning simple knots
- Working together to build shelters
- Developing confidence, resilience and outdoor skills
- Creative, open-ended play in nature
🕘 Time: 9:00am–12:00pm
👧🧒 Ages: 4–12 years (activities adapted for different ages)
👩🏫 Facilitators: Small groups with experienced educators
👨👩👧 Parents: Welcome to stay or drop off (depending on child confidence)
Children will be supported to take safe risks, try new skills and enjoy plenty of time outdoors. No prior experience needed, just curiosity and a love of getting hands-on!
