BayActive has plenty of fun lined up to keep your kids active and entertained at The University of Waikato Haumaru Sport & Recreation Centre!Holiday Tumble Time runs from 9:30am to 12:00pm and is suitable for children up to 13 years old, including both primary and intermediate ages. Please note that children must be supervised by a parent or caregiver at all times.
Tumble Time offers a variety of activities designed to help children develop physical skills such as balance, coordination, climbing, agility, and fine motor skills. It’s also a great way for kids to build social confidence in a group setting, and for parents to meet new friends.
For younger children aged 0–5 years, there’s a dedicated space filled with moon hoppers, scooters, trikes, bikes, balls, balancing and gymnastic equipment, mega blocks, Little Tikes cars, and much more.
Older children aged 6–13 years have their own court with sports-based activities, including basketball hoops, hockey, volleyball goals and sometimes other games like giant ten-pin bowling, soft play blocks for building and a larger slide bouncy castle specifically for this age group.
For safety, the age groups are kept separate, and older children cannot use equipment intended for 0–5-year-olds.
