Holiday Theatrical Night Tours: A Poe Christmas Carol
Get ready for a twist on the holiday classic! Join us for "A Poe Christmas Carol". The program spotlights live theater with a historical holiday twist. Hosted in partnership with Sweet Tea Shakespeare, the Night Tours will take place December 12-13 from 7:00-9:00 pm. Proceeds from ticket sales directly fund this event and other programs at the 1897 Poe House.
Experience the 1897 Poe House as never before in this atmospheric, after-hours interpretative theatrical tour inspired by A Christmas Carol. As candle light flickers against the ornate woodwork and the quiet halls settle into evening stillness, guests embark on a guided journey as they witness the immersive take on Dickens’ timeless tale, set entirely within Fayetteville’s own 1897 Poe House.
Tickets can be purchased in advance, or through Eventbrite only. Time slot exchanges may be possible based on availability, but to guarantee your reservation arrive for time slot purchased. Ticket holders should arrive at least 10 minutes before show time, late arrivals cannot be admitted once the group enters the 1897 Poe House. Due to tight space inside the house, shows are limited to 15 people per group.
Ticket holders should be able to walk/stand and navigate stairs for the duration of the show (45 minutes). This is not a seated performance.
This project is supported by the Arts Council of Fayetteville/ Cumberland County in part by contributions from businesses and individuals, and through grants from the City of Fayetteville, Cumberland County and the North Carolina Arts Council.
