Getting all your holiday shopping done in one magical night — cocktail in hand? The dream!
Join us on Thursday, Dec. 12 for a sip and shop night at Upstart & Crow. We’ll be fully stocked with the best and buzziest books and gifts for the season, while also offering beautiful cocktails, wine and beer while you browse. Let us help you choose the perfect gifts for everyone on your list. Twinkle lights will be in full effect.
Tickets are $20 and include a festive drink of your choice, snacks and some bookish door prizes. Non-alcoholic drinks available! When booking, please choose one of two options: the 6 p.m. or 8 p.m. seating.
We hope to see you there, and THANK YOU for shopping local this season. Bookstore proceeds support our non-profit programming, such as writer residencies, free writing workshops, and more.

We are international in our outlook, and local in our sensibilities. We create opportunities to surface new talent and champion bold ideas through events, workshops, literary launches, unique partnerships — and yes, we also sell books!
Health precautions:
We want this event to be safe for all. Masks are welcome, though we won’t enforce them. We hope that folks who come will be vaccinated and boosted and will stay home if they feel ill.
Accessibility:
The main studio of our shop is accessible for folks with mobility aids. There is a washroom on the main floor available for attendees. The bar will be stationed in our loft mezzanine, though we will have runners available to bring down drinks.
