About this Event
Enjoy a special evening of sipping, shopping, and creating at Edmonton’s iconic River Valley café and delight in Little Brick's evening magic all to yourself!
In this beginner-friendly clay hand building workshop, you will create and decorate your own holiday ornaments! Participants can expect to make approximately 5 ornaments, depending on the size and complexity of designs. Near the latter half of the workshop, participants will be able to decorate their pieces with colourful underglaze options. Kiln firing and a final clear glaze are included in the workshop price, and pieces will be ready for pick up at Little Brick a week before Christmas. Workshops are limited to 15 spaces, and all participants receive 10% off at the Good Goods shop during the event.
This workshop is held in collaboration with crabapple design, a local business run by Carmyn. Carmyn has three years of handbuilding experience, and teaches art at a local junior high. She has been leading her own clay workshops this past year, and can't wait to create with you at such a festive and beautiful venue!
You can see some of her work @crabappledesign on Instagram, and she invites you to message her with any questions you might have prior to the class.
Please note that spaces for the workshop are non-refundable. Due to the unpredictable nature of ceramics, clay objects always have the potential to crack or create unexpected results. We will do our best to ensure that the pieces dry properly and are fired properly, but will not be held responsible for any undesired results.
