History sharing field trip just down the street to Muskie Center. Let's talk about the holidays in the 1940s-60s! Are there stories of different traditions in your family during WWII? Do you know if war rations influenced your traditional holiday foods? What was it like as a kid to see the storefront window displays? Are there things you have always done that get passed along through the generations? What are your favorite holiday foods and traditions?
Even if you didn't grow up during this time period or grew up outside Waterville, please come and share or listen to stories from others. We will have some photos and newspaper articles on display to get those memories going and you are welcome to bring your photos, too.
Please RSVP with Muskie Center so they know which room we will need. 207-873-4745 Lunch is served beforehand, free or very reasonably priced, so ask about lunch when you call. We hope to see you at noon on Thursday, December 11, to share in this interactive event.
