Holiday Magic Train at Main Street

All aboard the Holiday Magic Train! Get ready for a festive, family-friendly experience like no other as we celebrate the season in style, with a journey curated in partnership with Amtrak!

Join us for a magical train ride from Amtrak Staples Mill Station to Main Street Station, where you’ll step into a winter wonderland and meet your favorite holiday characters—think Santa's elves, the Grinch, and more!

Here’s what you can expect—

-2:30-4pm: Shuttles from Main Street Station to Staples Mill Station

-3-4:30pm: Enjoy cookies and hot cocoa, photos with inflatable holiday backdrops, music, and more as you wait to board the train

-4:30pm: Boarding begins for the Holiday Magic Train

-5:00pm: Train ride back to Main Street Station (30 minutes of festive fun!)

-5:30pm: Arrival at Main St. Station for the Holiday Magic at Main St. Station open house including holiday vendors, story time with Santa, arts & crafts, and more.

TICKETS ARE $60 PER SEAT FOR ALL PASSENGERS. Once you register to ride the Holiday Magic Train, you will receive an email welcoming you aboard and outlining payment instructions. A member of Main Street Station's events team will give all passengers a call between November 20th - November 22nd to settle payment by credit card. Once payment has processed, you will receive an email of your receipt. If our call is not returned by Tuesday, November 26th, at 3:00pm your seat will be released.

Main Street Station is thrilled to invite the Richmond community to its inaugural Holiday Magic at Main St. open house on Sunday, December 8th, 2024 from 12-8pm at Main St. Station. This free, family-friendly event offers a festive celebration of the holiday season at the historic venue, featuring a variety of activities for all ages.

The event will include a curated selection of local vendors offering unique holiday gifts in partnership with Richmond Night Market, children’s arts & crafts stations in partnership with the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, a photo booth and story time with Santa, gift wrapping services, a DJ playing festive tunes, lively caroling, a bar with seasonal cocktails provided by The Len and much, much more. Holiday Magic at Main Street is free and open to the public, the Holiday Magic Train is an additional experience, you can register for up to 4 tickets per person above. The cost is $60 per passenger.
