Join the KCCO for Magical Holiday Music!

Our Holiday candlelight concert features concertos performed by wonderful soloists from the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra. The first half of the concert features works by Antonio Vivaldi, one of the most famous Baroque masters of all time. Highlighted will be gorgeous, highly virtuosic concertos for flute, two cellos, and oboe. On the second half, we feature Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla’s Four Seasons of Buenos Aires. Piazzolla pays tribute to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons in his own set for solo violin, depicting the seasons in his native land. Piazzolla’s music has exploded in popularity over the past decade, evoking the great Tango traditions of Argentina and Uruguay in his compositions.
