Looking to start the new year with clarity and calm. Join for walk down Christmas Tree Lane here neighborhood with 55 houses in Alameda, The Christmas Tree Lane in Alameda, California will be lit up from December 1, 2024 to New Year's Eve from 5–10 PM. The houses and median will be decorated with lights, and each house has a different theme that may change each year, followed by tacos at one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants Check their MenuHoliday spirit with a personalized Santa hat if possible.
No restroom, come prepared !
We will meet at the corner of Thompson Ave and High St. in Alameda. Look for Tenzin holding light-up sign! As we walk along the sidewalks expect to go slowly due to crowds/kids, and when we stop and look at all the decorations. It is a 0.4-mile round trip on flat pavement and should take approx 20-30 minutes depending on how slowly we go. Not to be missed is the music and light show at the Nightmare Before Christmas House!
Please note that parking can be tricky in this area because of the free night event and its popularity with families from all over the East Bay.
The restaurant is located at 1337 Park St Alameda, and there is free parking on neighboring streets, as well as the parking garage (free on Sunday only !) at 1416 Oak St. which is rarely full and only a 4-minute walk away.
If you prefer a walk to the restaurant you can start from Christmas Tree Lane which is 1 mile away (20 min walk).
