These are easy and fast-to-make blocks featuring winter gnomes. Make blocks of gnomes and trees that you can mix and match to turn into placemats, a small table runner, a throw, or decorative pillows. It’s a lovely beginner-level project that can be quilted in your own sewing machine.
Class supplies:
Fabrics of your choice – reds and greens, or blues and grays – whatever you have in your stash (the gnomes don’t have be matchy-matchy)! Don’t forget a little bit of pink for the noses.
Coordinating thread and bobbins
If you are making pillows, you need backing fabric to quilt the gnome blocks, extra coordinating fabric to make the case for the pillow, and a pillow insert or poly-fil.
If you are making placemats, a table runner, or a throw, you need low-loft, thin batting, coordinating backing fabric and extra fabric for the binding.
