Going to France for your holidays?

This is a short six-week course, suitable for complete beginners or for people with a limited knowledge of the language who want to acquire some basic knowledge of French to get by during their holidays.

Course Content

The course concentrates on developing listening and speaking skills. Each lesson deals with an everyday situation which a visitor to France might encounter. It covers basic vocabulary and phrases as well as a brief consideration of the people and culture.

Students are given the opportunity to practise the language and build up their confidence through a variety of enjoyable classroom activities enhancing communication skills in the language in an informal setting.

The course is supported by the following BBC talk French textbook/phrase book which learners are encouraged to purchase, purchase of this will be discussed at your first session.

No prior language skills required just a real enthusiasm for the language and a desire to learn.

Our language classes are offered at different levels so if you'd like to join one but don't know which level to join, please contact us and we'll get one of our tutors to contact you

Learners would need some knowledge of the language to start this course in the spring or summer term.

Please note we run all our courses based on a minimum number of participants.

Any session that a student is unable to make is non-refundable unless the college cancels a class for any reason, and you cannot make the rearranged date/s.
