Holy jingle bells, it's a super fantastic mega bonanza of cookies! In this all-day class, you'll prepare FOUR cookie recipes from start to finish... and leave with armloads of cookies to share with friends, family, and coworkers!
What types of cookies are we baking? It's a surprise, but here are some hints:
There will definitely be something chocolatey, something nutty, something crunchy, something soft... we're doing 4 very different cookies! You'll learn and practice a handful of techniques as we explore different cookie styles , flavors, and textures.
In this class, you'll
- Practice four different cookie methods
- Bake a cookie assortment that includes a variety of textures & flavors
- Discuss how to plan & execute a BIG cookie baking project, how to prep, and how to store your cookies
- Learn lots of baking tips you can apply to other recipes
- Learn about the ingredients, flavors, and more
- How to taste food like a professional... the difference between tasting and eating!
- Spend a day baking with and learning alongside the most fun folks (seriously, cookie bonanza people are the BEST people!)
- Take home LOADS of ready-to-eat cookies you made yourself... AND some "take & bake" cookie dough to bake later!
PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING: This class is different from our other classes!
- Intermediate level: Class is quicker paced with a lot of time targets. Students should be already know how to operate a stand mixer and measure with a scale (weight/grams).
- Adults only please (age 15+).
- Lunch break partway through class (about 30 min)-- we'll provide some snacks (ie: chicken salad, pimento cheese, etc), but recommend that you bring a "brown bag" to supplement (we have a fridge you're welcome to stash it in)
- Some recipes/ tasks will be completed "solo" at your own worktable; some will involve working with other students.
- Our team will handle the bulk of cleanup, but students should expect to assist with dishes/workspace tidy between recipes.
