Join us for a festive family storytime and book signing with local author Adam McHugh and illustrator Kate McHugh, celebrating their new holiday picture book Ferd and the Magic Hat—a heartwarming tale set in Solvang.

Ferd wakes up at the dawn of the Christmas season in a wooden windmill on a hill. His pointy hat holds enough light to power Christmas in his beloved village—until it’s snatched away by a mischievous stork! With the help of his animal friends, Ferd sets off on a whimsical adventure to save Christmas and light the town tree.
