Elgin’s signature holiday event returns on Saturday, December 6, 2025, transforming our historic downtown into a wonderland of lights, music, and memories. From morning crafts to the evening parade, Holiday by the Tracks brings our community together with the charm and creativity that makes Elgin shine.
Daytime Festivities (10 AM–4 PM)
> ELGIN PUBLIC LIBRARY AND PARKS & RECREATION: Free children’s, teen, and adult activities, multicultural crafts, games, and photos with Santa.
> Christmas Bazaar at Veterans Memorial Park: Local artists, makers, food vendors, and live performances.
> HOT COCOA STROLL (1–4 PM) — Sponsored by the Elgin Chamber of Commerce. Collect your 2025 mug, sample cocoa around downtown, and vote for your favorite. For more information: https://www.elgintxchamber.com/holiday-by-the-tracks/
Evening Highlight
> LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE (6 PM) — Floats, performers, and maybe even a little snow light up Main Street from 11th to Brenham Street.
