Thanks to an anonymous donor, the Elyria Bicycle and Education Center will once again be hosting a Holiday Bike Giveaway on Saturday, December 13 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, or earlier if we run out of bikes. We will have 60 children’s bikes of varying sizes, along with a limited supply of helmets. These will be given out for children 12 and under who live in Elyria, with a limit of 2 per family. To avoid long lines and waiting outside in the weather, we will be pre-registering families which will be provided numbered vouchers with a time slot to come to pick out a bike with your child on December 13th. We ask that you stop by the Center on Monday or Tuesday between 12:00 and 4:30 or Saturday between 10:00 and 2:30 to pre-register. Please bring proof of residency, such as a utility or credit card bill for verification. On the day of the Giveaway, please bring your child so we can help pick out the right size bike for them. We look forward to making many children happy by providing safe bicycles.
