Participants in this workshop will learn about ipu hokiokio (gourd nose flute) and the process used to make two different hokiokio using two differently shaped ipu (gourd). Students will be provided the supplies needed to drill the holes, file the holes, and tools necessary to clean out the seeds inside of the gourds. Students will also have access to see and try playing several hokiokio with different styles of hole configurations prior to drilling their holes. Each participant will make two hokiokio.Cost: $40 for MNBG members, $65 for new members (includes one-year Garden membership)
