Are you still waiting on your Hogwarts letter to arrive? Would you like to try taking classes like Herbology, Divination, and Defense Against the Dark Arts while learning real-world skills? Come to our 2024-2025 Adult Programming Kick-off event to:
- Pick up your Hogwarts school supplies
- learn about the programs we're offering this year
- plan out your class schedule from now through the spring O.W.L.S. and banquet
- visit our photobooth
- participate in a craft
- register for programs
- complete a house sorting quiz (if you do not already know your house)
- sign up for the house cup to help your team win a bonus prize
Everyone who registers at the event or the library Sept. 30-Oct. 2 will have their Hogwarts class list mailed to them!
Costumes are encouraged but not required.
Additional Information about the Hogwarts Class Registration:
Times: Classes are scheduled for October 2024 through March 2025. Specific dates and times will be released during the registration event
Age: These classes are geared toward adults, but those age 11 and up may attend with a parent.
Topics: Programs will tie into a specific Hogwarts class but will also be accessible to muggles. For example, students will be able to check off their visits to the owlery while learning about owls alongside muggles.
Special Events: In addition to the classes and activities, we hope to host two special events, one in December and an end-of-term banquet in the spring.
Inclusivity: Pendleton Public Library Hogwarts programming is designed to educate and entertain participants, including all LGBTQIA+ members of our community.
Yule Ball: Although we will not be hosting a Yule Ball at the Pendleton Public Library Hogwarts, PDXpelliarmus will be hosting a charity fundraising event Dec. 14 for those willing to use muggle travel or apparate to Portland.
