Bringing in the bells with the return of our full power Hogmanay knees up. We had a year off last NYE, sticking to a simpler night of pub craic, stupid amounts of food and falling asleep on the couch, dram in hand, little paper hat on. This year it's time to clear out the dining room, lock up the breakables, dust off those purple velvet dancing shoes and invite some top musical talent to turn 2024 into 2025 for us.
Byebye '24... how ye doin there '25!
We'll be setting up over three areas...
Inside: catering for our main dancefloor, six piece funk unit Bohemian Monk Machine, all the way from the spiritual home of soul music (Perth, Scotland). These are some seriously funky people with top top party energy and all the soul in the world. Having witnessed them at a packed out stage at Kelburn Garden Party, we knew then we would one day bring them to Aviemore. And thus, it's yersel's!

Our long standing friend, party machine, top turntablist and local legend The Wook, will spin his wizardry all about your person, through till two. Hip-hop, funk, D&B, you name it, he will deliver it with some serious technical steez.

Outside: In our heated patio area, cooking up the hottest of dancefloors, a trio of legends from the Glasgow club scene. First up, prolific producer, weekly La Cheetah resident, regular Sub Club, Berkeley Suite and most recent Melting pot guest, Ali OOFT! Known for dropping just about anything in his sets from slow mo Balearic sounds to underground disco to classic house, we're fair chuffed to finally have OOFT! playing at OBI.

Next up, from his musical beginnings in the '80s, as a teenaged DJ playing acid house to his (confused) class mates at school discos, to running iconic Glasgow nights Emotion Electric and Waterpistol, up steps Nicky Wright.
These days, expect (the unexpected, but if you need more detail...) anything from '60s soul, funk and disco to yacht rock, house and the occasional ‘80s pop classic. Absolutely perfect Hogmanay party tunes.

And last but not least, one of our favourite OBI DJs returning for another NYE set. Kristian Elliot has rocked a few parties here, taking things up a notch with his Chicago house / Detroit techno sound. His style another crafted over a solid 25 plus years spinning around Scotland's various dancefloors, including when running his own Stirling based night Strut, showcasing all the deep house Scottish stars of the time, Slam, Harry & Dom, DJ Q et al. Kris knows. Be like Kris.
Outside (cont) .... our third area:
The Shelter: our heated area cross the road will have a bar in it for the night, as well as plenty of extra seating. The all important blethering space to catch up with your pals away from the dancefloor. Smoker friendly, heated drinking space, still close enough to the party to be part of the vibe.
Tickets: Advance tickets will be on sale from Friday 15th November at midday.
Limited early bird tickets (SORRY - EARLY BIRDS SOKD OUT IN UNDER 5 MINUTES) are priced at £10 + booking fee, with all other tickets £22 + booking fee. Tickets available via our website.
The event runs from 9.30pm until 2am. Last entry is 10.45pm. Over 18s only. Sorry, it's the one day of the year we don't allow kids. Indulge us please. No dogs. It's too busy and it's New Year....there may be fireworks. Literal or metaphoric? Wait and see.
