About this Event
About the Workshop
Warm, wet, pulsing...Sharps play is a hot and intense form of edge play that can build trust, lend itself to realistic role play scenarios, and test your limits. Come learn how to engage in risk-aware consensual k!nk practices around sharps play using needles in "Glove, Sighs, Bleeding: Needles 101" led by Oran Julius & Beau Flex.
In this workshop, we will review reasons why people might want to engage in blood play involving needles, safety measures, and ideas for incorporating into scenes, before demonstrating techniques in a live demo. Following the demo, there will be time for questions before participants will be given time to practice some of the techniques they learned under supervision from Oran & Beau.
Supplies provided will include: gloves, disinfectant, paper towels, pup pads, a set of needles to practice, and a sharps containers.
Please bring your own sharps bottom to practice on if you are able. You are welcome to come solo, but be prepared to practice on yourself or only listen & watch. We'll do our best to help facilitate pairing of folks who come alone, but we cannot guarantee anyone a bottom to practice on!

FAQs
FAQ: what should I bring?
Yourself, your focus, and a desire to learn. You might also want to bring a notepad and something to write with. You'll be able to get the best experience if you come with someone you'd like to practice with, though anyone is welcome to come solo. All supplies required for learning will be provided.
FAQ: what should I wear?
Whatever makes you feel good! If you plan to practice receiving needles on any part of your body, please wear something you can easily remove/lift/pull down to expose the part(s) where you want to receive. Folks are welcome to be as dressed or undressed as they'd like while practicing.
FAQ: any skill pre-requisites? (i.e., is this for beginners, advanced, everyone?)
Anyone is welcome to join who would like to learn about needles; however, we don't recommend this class for anyone who has a fear of blood. This skill also might be hard for you to top for if you have difficulty with your fine motor pincer grasp.
FAQ: can I attend solo, or do I need to come with a partner?
You are welcome to come solo, but be prepared to practice on yourself or only listen & watch. We'll do our best to help facilitate pairing of folks who come alone, but we cannot guarantee anyone a bottom to practice on!
