HizashiCon, named for the Japanese word hizashi (日差し), meaning “sunshine,” brings the warmth of Japanese pop culture to Pensacola, Florida. Reflecting the city’s iconic beaches, sunny skies, and laid-back coastal vibe, HizashiCon celebrates everything from anime and manga to J‑pop, fashion, and cultural exchange.HizashiCon is proudly produced by the Japan‑America Society of Northwest Florida and presented as part of Pensacola’s annual Foo Foo Festival, with support from community grants and partnerships.
