Join Amanda Gillen, interim executive director at The Frick Pittsburgh, for a conversation about the museum's work to reimagine it's tour of Clayton, the historic home of industrialist Henry Clay Frick and his family. Gilded Not Golden, the tour that resulted from this work, recently won a Leadership in History award from the American Association of State and Local History. This talk will discuss the reasons and strategies for centering the new interpretation on the tumultuous year of 1892, how the curatorial and education teams developed and implemented new content, and how the new tour is bringing renewed public interest to this important local historic house.
