Discover the mysteries of Seattle's Duwamish Cemetery, also known as the "lost" Potter's Field. The dredging and straightening of the Duwamish River in 1913 triggered the exhumation and cremation of the 3,260 people buried there between 1876 and 1912. Their ashes were mishandled, with no final resting place provided for these lost souls.
Elke Hautala and Cari Simson, hosts of the 𝐼𝑛𝑣𝑖𝑠𝑖𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝐻𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑠 podcast, unearth these lost stories and their connections to Centralia and western Washington.
A portion of this special presentation includes a theatrical séance. Elke channels Madame Victoria, a real historical medium from Seattle’s Spiritualism era during the turn of the 20th century. Elke guides the audience, with help from Cari, to appease the Potter’s Field dead and make amends for disturbing their eternal slumber. Dare to experience this visceral and exciting interactive event during Halloween season when the veil between worlds is the thinnest...
