About this Event
The Berkeley Hillside Club was founded in 1898 by a group of women determined to shape the architecture of the Northside neighborhood. They had lofty goals and largely achieved them. As the Club matured, its activities extended to areas the founders couldn’t have predicted, including wartime assistance, music, dance, and drama. David Mostardi, the Hillside Club Historian, will present an overview of the Club’s 127-year history, including newly-discovered photographs and recordings. The public is welcome to attend the brief annual meeting of the Berkeley Historical Society as well as the talk (see Agenda). Admission is free (donations welcome), no ticket required, but please sign up so we know how many to expect.
