(18+, 14+ with participating adult) Mill Mountain has always been the center of attention in town even before the addition of the Star. Since the late 1800’s Mill Mountain has been a tourist destination and a local’s favorite place to escape from the daily grind. During our hike to the star we will learn the history of Mill Mountain and what makes it so special. Program fee includes leadership.

Parent or guardian must be present on this trip for participants under age 18. We will meet at the Star Trailhead, 1209 Riverland Rd SE, Roanoke VA 24012.
Bring plenty of water (2 liters), snacks, lunch, proper clothing and footwear (good shoes or hiking boots), a backpack to carry all of your items and trekking poles if you use them. Just a reminder that dogs are not allowed on any City of Roanoke hike.
