Calling all cyclists! Have you ever taken a ride on the Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail or gone on a jaunt around town? If you have, you are a part of over 100 years of cycling history in Rice County. Throughout the years, everything from the paths we ride to the types of bicycles have changed. Learn more about the local history of cycling with Tim Madigan in the latest installment of our Thursday night speaker series!
Madigan is a lifelong student of history. His professional career has spanned public education and management in Minnesota, including teaching classes on the 1960s for the Cannon Valley Elder Collegium, serving as an adjunct instructor at MSU Mankato, and teaching with the Celtic Junction Art Center. He lives in the Faribault, MN area and is a member of the Faribault Flyers bicycle club.
