At noon on Wednesday, November 12, author Jere Nash will discuss his book, "Reconstruction in Mississippi, 1862-1877," a detailed and comprehensive history of the period following the Civil War, as part of the History Is Lunch series. The book documents the ways economic freedoms evolved, changes in the national and international economy, and congressional and presidential initiatives as the country recovered from the devastation of the war. This program will take place in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums and will also stream live on the MDAH Facebook page and YouTube channel. Copies of the book will be available for sale with a book signing to follow. For more information, call 601-576-6850 or email [email protected].
