Share your history with us!
The National Juneteenth Museum in collaboration with the University of North Texas Special Collections Department invites you to participate in our first History Harvest event!
Bring your artifacts, photos, oral histories, and more to the Shamblee Library this July. Your materials will help our community to document and highlight the rich history of Juneteenth and the African American experience. Our archive will preserve the legacy of African American and American history from enslavement to freedom.
We are seeking artifacts such as:
• Juneteenth Memorabilia: Posters, event photos, etc.
• Manuscripts: Letters, diaries, and personal journals
• Family Photos
• Documents: Birth certificates, marriage licenses, deeds, etc.
• Artifacts: Heirlooms, tools, clothing, and personal items
• Newspaper Clippings
• Audio and Video Recordings: Interviews, family gatherings, personal stories
• Recipes and Cookbooks
• Artwork: Paintings, drawings, crafts
• Certificates and Awards
• Maps and Blueprints

Event Details
WHEN: Saturday, July 6, 2024, 12-4 pm (stop by any time)
WHERE: Ella Mae Shamblee Library, 1062 Evans Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104
WHAT TO EXPECT: Stations will be set up for you to record your stories and scan your items with a UNT staff member. This way, your cherished artifacts can be digitized and included in the National Juneteenth Museum's collection without you having to part with them.

If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].
