Seeing, Reading, and Hearing: Legal Ritual in 17th Century Maine
Daniel Bottino is a doctoral candidate in history at Rutgers University. His research focuses on seventeenth- and eighteenth-century New England with a particular emphasis on Native-English relations in colonial Maine, material culture, legal history, and the Great Awakening. As a historian of Maine, he seeks to understand the region’s diverse societies and cultures, Native, European, and African, in the context of resistance to colonization in the early modern Atlantic World.
Tickets are $10 for PHC members and $15 for non-members, and include refreshments.
