Crime author David Bushman will give a talk at SLCA to commemorate the unveiling of the Hazel Drew historical marker on Taborton Road and Mosher Road. The talk is cosponsored by the Sand Lake Historical Society, which will unveil a historical marker near the site where Hazel Drew’s body was discovered in 1908.Bushman is the author of five nonfiction books, including Murder at Teal’s Pond: Hazel Drew and the Mystery That Inspired Twin Peaks. He spent two decades as a television curator at the Paley Center for Media and has over a decade of experience as a writer and editor for Gannett Newspapers, Variety and Billboard. Bushman is an adjunct professor of communications and writing and a former program director at the cable channel TV Land.
