During the late 18th and early 19th centuries, treating the sick was very different than it is today. Treatments were largely based on medicinal herbs and spices as well as foraging in surround land. Most of the treatments were prepared by the woman of the house. Join us as we discuss early 1800s medical practices and make a couple of remedies that might have been prepared and served to the sick or ill.
