Anyone who has ever thought of going to the Renaissance Faire in costume, come on in. Your project should be finished in time for the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and for Halloween. Depending on the period and fabric, these make fantastic gowns for weddings or special occasions! We will do this class in modules; Module 1; April 25th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. We will be designing and sketching your design. Module 2; May 2nd from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. We will be drafting and fitting your pattern. If you choose we can plan a shopping trip to Black Duck to find your fabrics on Saturday May 3rd. Module 3; May 9 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm . We will be cutting out your fabric out and begin construction. Cost for the class is $75 for members and $85 for non-members. We will complete your project in open studio at your own pace. All classes and open studios will be at our main studio B-1 at 214 East Howard Street in Hibbing. We will have outlets for your own sewing machines. We will have rulers, tissue and measuring tools, though if you have a tape measure it will make things simpler. You will provide the rest, based on need. I have a heavy duty grommet press that we will use, and if you don’t have a sewing machine, please let us know.
