About this Event
Climb aboard the beloved St. Pete Looper for a historic trolley tour of St. Petersburg!
Explore downtown and nearby neighborhoods through new eyes as local historian Monica Kile shows you city secrets hiding in plain sight. On this 2 - 2.5 hour tour we will explore places like charming Round Lake, Snell Isle, and the Historic Old Northeast. You will learn the story of historically African-American main streets like 22nd Street South in the Deuces, and see how the interstate and baseball stadium disrupted life in the Gas Plant district. We will visit Roser Park and Methodist Town, see the city’s first synagogue, and summit Thrill Hill. Relax on the fully air-conditioned Looper while Monica shares her deep knowledge of St. Pete's diverse and fascinating history and shows you sites that only a longtime local would know.
This tour is perfect both for those that may not be comfortable on one of Monica’s popular walking tours, and for those that loved the walking tour and want to explore more of the city with her! (Specific neighborhoods and sites may vary depending on city events, traffic, etc.)
