As twilight falls, join us for a special evening as we journey back in time. Guided by the flickering glow of lantern light, costumed storytellers will lead you through the streets and alleys of Elizabethtown where the rich history of the people, places and events of Elizabethtown’s past will be revealed. Your tour guide will highlight the architecture, culture, and traditions that took Elizabethtown from the frontier years through three centuries of growth and change. Your historic walking tour will begin at the A frame building behind the Christ Lutheran Church. You will join a group of 11 others and walk to Trellis Market Place, down E High Street to S Market, then down the enchanted alley to an 1860’s schoolhouse. From there you will go to W High St, onto N Market, past the Sign of the Bear and return to E. High St and the H.U. Coble House where you will enjoy refreshments along with Victorian era music and dancing.
Tours start at 6:30, 7:00, and 7:30 p.m.
Each tour will consist of a one-hour lantern lit walk through town and thirty minutes for refreshments, music, and dancing at the H.U. Coble House. Total time 1 ½ hr.
Reservations required. Check back for ticket information.
