Date: Wednesday 29th January. Doors open at 6.30pm.

Location: Abbots Bromley Village Hall, WS15 3DB

As part of his nationwide book tour promoting his new book, Historic Building Mythbusting, author James Wright will explore the many fascinating myths associated with historic buildings that are commonly believed and widely repeated. These stories include those of secret passages, spiral staircases in castles giving advantages to right handed defenders, ships' timbers used in the construction of buildings, blocked doors in churches thought to keep the Devil out and claims to be the oldest pub...... James will investigate the underlying truths behind them. Sometimes the realities hiding behind the stories are even more interesting, romantic and exciting that the myth itself.
