Hiroya’s instrumental abilities are indeed breathtaking and astounding, but his performances are so much more than that. He has the unique ability to engage an audience through a personable, genuine, transfixing approach. Tsukamoto plays guitar with an effortless skill, and his repertoire will have you traveling the world, as you experience new sounds though his own compositions.
Tsukamoto headlines concerts throughout the U.S. as well as internationally including the Blue Note in NYC, United Nations and Japanese National Television. Hiroya won 2nd place in International Finger Style Guitar Championship in 2018 and 2022.
The cost is $30 for adults and $25 for seniors and students. Hiroya will perform at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Scotch Plains, NJ. Built in late 19th century the church has outstanding acoustics, perfectly complementary to Hiroya's playing. He will perform two 40-minute sets with a brief intermission, during which we'll serve refreshments in our hall.
