Facilitated stretching is a technique where you engage a muscle in order to provide a deeper, safer stretch leading to greater flexibility and stability.
In this workshop, we will:
-- discuss the anatomy of the hips and thighs for a better understanding of your muscular system
-- utilize engagement of the muscles to bring awareness of your actions
-- put the actions into practice
Discussion will be followed by a physical practice. Some yoga experience will be helpful but is not required.

Connie Raley-Rose, E-RYT 500, YACEP, has been practicing yoga since 1999. She began a deeper exploration with Yoga Teacher Training in 2012 through YogaWorks in the Los Angeles area. Through her own personal practice, she has discovered the necessity of building both strength and flexibility for the overall health and balance of the body. It is her intention to guide others through their own physical and mental limitations to reach a deeper level of strength, resilience, and peace.
