Create your own Hip-Hop track in this workshop presented by Hip Hop For Change. Emcee and producer Marlon Richardson will introduce you to various elements of the genre — DJing/beatmaking, songwriting, breakdancing, and graffiti art — and then you’ll break out into groups to collaborate on projects that reflect and value all ethnic and cultural influences and contributions. You’ll come away with an understanding of how Hip-Hop Culture, music, and creativity can be powerful vehicles for multiculturalism, understanding, equity, and challenging antiquated paradigms.
