About this Event
The scythe is a remarkably effective tool and the perfect technology for handling a variety of terrains in both professional and amateur settings. It is also known to have great health benefits for body and mind.
Come and learn the best scything and maintenance techniques and fall in love with the practice with Scythe Teacher and regional contact for the Scythe Association of Britain & Ireland, Nicole Clough.
The structure of the day will be as follows:
- Introduction and familiarisation
- Setting up an Austrian scythe
- Movement and technique
- Mowing practice
Please bring: a packed lunch and a water bottle, waterproof footwear and weather appropriate clothing.
N.B. The 19th Hole café will be open for use to all throughout the day. This is where the toilets are located.
We will meet outside the café first thing and walk down to the site from there.
