About Shannon Rose:
Ngāti Porou ki Harataunga, Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Whakahemo, Tūhourangi, Scotland, Croatia, England. Shannon Rose has been immersed in the practice of breath since 2017 and is recognised as one of the pioneers of breathwork in Aotearoa. She is the founder of HineHau, a breathwork training kaupapa supporting wāhine to step into leadership and facilitation through the breath. HineHau teaches breathwork through a Te Ao Māori lens to wahine, offering 200-hour practitioner certifications.
Since beginning her practice in 2017, Shannon has been part of the early wave of facilitators bringing the transformative power of breathwork to Aotearoa. Her approach is both deeply spiritual and deeply human, making the breath accessible as a tool for healing, alignment, and reconnection.
Through HineHau (formerly Elevare), Shannon has trained over 50 practitioners in the BreathWav™ modality, a practice that works with the full spectrum of the breath to release, restore, and reawaken. At the heart of her work is a commitment to weaving whakapapa, story, and ceremony into modern practice, creating spaces where wāhine can return to themselves with clarity and confidence.
