Learn to make your choice of two traditional holiday ornamentsAbout this Event
There are two separate classes for the afternoon.
Choose one or both!
$25 each or both for $40!
Class times are scheduled for two hours to give you time to finish multiple ornaments; however, it will not take the full two hours to learn the basics.
12:30 - 2:30 Himmeli
Himmeli are popular Scandinavian and Baltic geometric ornaments traditionally made from natural straw tubes. We will have a variety of straws to work with (paper, plastic, and natural) and you will be able to make several shapes and sizes once you learn the basic construction.
3:00 - 5:00 Straw Stars
Lean to use a special jig to weave and tie these delicate ornaments together. These stars are traditionally made throughout Eastern Europe and Scandinavia.
These classes are appropriate for ages 12 and up. All materials will be provided.
