HIMALAYAN BALSAM INFO SESSIONHimalayan Balsam is an invasive species which is taking hold along riverbanks and other watercourses, including the River Liffey. It causes a number of concerning issues such as degradation of the bank and elimination of native wild species.
We're delighted to host an information meeting at 7.30pm on Monday evening 31st March, at Ryston Sports & Social Club, on how we can best support the erradication of Himalayan Balsam in the Newbridge area.
Please come along especially if you live in one of the estates along the riverbank or if you would like to join us on some upcoming balsam bashing events.
We'll be joined on the night by representatives from Ballymore Eustace, where the community are leading this work, the Local Authorities Water Programme and KCC Biodiversity team.
Hope to see you there!
