The Hilton Hotel in the centre of Nottingham city will be hosting the May Nottinghamshire Connect Reception and launch of the 2024 Black Achievers Awards with the awards founder, Hon. Alderman Merlita Bryan-Hilton.
As always, there will be relaxed business connecting with no pitches, no presentations and no push and of course complimentary hospitality to help the evening flow. If you're a nervous networker do let us know so we can ensure you're not left on your own!

The Hilton Hotel is one of the last remaining remnants of the once grand Victoria Station, now the site of the Victoria Centre. The hotel still retains many late Victorian features including a grand staircase. However after a recent multi-million pound restoration and refurbishment the hotel sits proudly as a place for excellent Hilton style hospitality and one of the most central locations to stay in Nottingham, including gym spa and art-deco swimming pool.

About the Awards
The Black Achievers Awards was set-up by Merlita, a former Lord Mayor of the City of Nottingham, having also been Sheriff of the city twice. The aim of the Black Achievers Awards is to recognise and promote the achievements of our BME community.
A key purpose of the awards is to shine a spotlight on black men and women who are real positive black role models across Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands. This programme recognises achievers in many fields such as sports, health and social care, outstanding parents, young achiever and business person of the year. The awards take place in October in Nottingham, which is an event open to all to attend and support.
