Ever wondered who helps to take care of our incredible climbing crags? Crag Care Tasmania is a community of volunteers dedicated to protecting Tasmaniaβs climbing areas. Our mission? To mitigate the environmental impacts of climbing and help preserve the places and lifestyle we love!Come and join in for the second working bee for the season on Saturday 15 November to help get Hillwood ready for the blissful climbing months of summer ahead. A great opportunity to meet fellow climbers and volunteer some time towards keeping one of our state's best sport climbing locations in tip top condition!
Meeting in the carpark at 08:45 am for a 09:00 am start:
* All welcome and no particular skills, equipment or experience are required.
* Key activities will include brush cutting, track maintenance and, an all-time favourite, weeding by hand!
* Please wear sturdy enclosed shoes, and preferably long sleeves and pants - nettles are in abundance! - and a hat
* Bring along some snacks and a water bottle to keep you hydrated - we will supply the equipment, PPE and good vibes!
