The 27th annual Hill of Truth Festival will take place on October 4th, 2025 at the Haw Ridge Campground just down from the CVTA HQ on Old Edgemoor Road. On Saturday October 4th, check in will open for all racers. The mountain bike race will start at 9 a.m. and continue for 12 hours until 9 p.m. The race course will be approximately 8 miles and include climbing, roots, rocks, and at least one new trail. Racers can compete solo or as a team of 2 or 4 riders. Race one lap. Race fourteen laps. You have 12 hours. Do it as a personal challenge. Do it for fun. Do it to support Clinch Valley Trail Alliance! All proceeds will fund maintenance, improvements and new features at the Dirt Lab skills park at Haw Ridge Park.
New! Also on Saturday morning, October 4th an approximately 12K distance trail running race, the HOT Trot, will take place on the same course as the mountain biking race at 8 a.m. Haw Ridge is home to a number of trail running races throughout the year and we appreciate all of our trail users. If you don't want to run, you can walk or bring the dog for a hike. There's no limit on your fun, but the cutoff is at 11 a.m.
As always, there will be a free kids race starting at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

The campfire will begin around dusk at the campground and participants are invited to take advantage of free camping Friday before the race as well as on Saturday evening.
