Join us for the first annual "Hill-O-Ween" event in downtown Haverhill! On Friday, October 31st, children and their families are invited to step into costume and parade down the boardwalk from Haverhill Bank to Harbor Place. The parade will culminate with a screening of “It’s a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” at HC Media. Return downtown to see the display of carved jack-o-lanterns lighting up Washington Square and enjoy the family friendly “Haunt Walk” at participating businesses throughout downtown.
Find the full schedule of happenings below:
4:00-5:00pm: Drop off carved pumpkins in Washington Square. All are welcome to contribute. It will be your responsibility to pick it up by 12pm, Saturday, November 1st. If it is not picked up, it will be composted. The city is not responsible for lost or damaged pumpkins.
5:00pm: Costume parade on the Boardwalk from Haverhill Bank to Harbor Place
Spectators are invited to watch on the grass at Harbor Place
5:30pm: Screening of “It’s a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” at HC Media with chips and salsa courtesy of Barrio Restaurant!
6:00pm: Carved pumpkins will be lit up in Washington Square and on display through the evening.
6:00-8:00pm: Haunt Walk - Visit participating businesses and restaurants downtown for happenings such as the Dia De Los Muertos’ Altar de Muertos on display in the back room of Casa Blanca. A map will be available in Washington Square during the event.
Thank you to the Team Haverhill volunteers who will be helping during the event and directing participants from Washington Square to the parade.
*Please note: As per city ordinance, Trick or Treating will continue to take place on the last Saturday of the month, October 25, 2025.
