About this Event
Come celebrate a Celtic Harvest Festival at Dewey Hall in Sheffield, MA. Play music, hear music, honor your ancestors, enjoy some seasonal desserts, spread your inner light as we approach the darker days of winter.
Celtic Session Workshop - 5:30pm
Bring your instrument and play in a session with the bands. Irish, Scottish and Welsh tunes will form the sets. Welcoming all acoustic instrument players. Experienced musicians will form the heart of our circle and newcomers to the Session culture will be guided by our performing musicians.
Concert - 8:00pm
David Paton, button box player and Irish Session leader in Kent, CT, with Claudine Langille, teacher and mandolin, banjo and guitar player from Belmont, VT, will open the show. Our headling act is Hildaland: Orkney (Scotland) born fiddler Louise Bichan and Indiana (USA) mandolinist Ethan Setiawan presenting a collaboration and meeting of their musical worlds. https://www.hildaland.com/
Desserts and refreshments will be available.
Note to workshop participants: there will be an hour for dinner from 7-8pm. Bring your own picnic or try Roberto's down the block.
