Hiking Horns: Mount Tamalpais State Park

Hiking Horns' first hike of 2025 will be in Mount Tamalpais State Park! Join us for a hike along the Mount Tamalpais West Point Via Nora Trail and Railroad Grade (we will be taking it clockwise, so we can see the views better). The hike is rated moderate-challenging (intermediate) due to the uphill climb, so be prepared for a workout! There is a free small parking lot near the trailhead. Parking can fill up, so be sure to arrive on time. If can’t find parking, there is additional parking 0.2 miles away - Mountain Home Inn, 810 Panoramic Hwy, Mill Valley, CA 94941. Jed Vick is a native Houstonian who moved to San Francisco in summer 2023. He lives in Cow Hollow and works in the Presidio. He has been to ~10 national parks (Yellowstone, Yosemite, Big Bend, Glacier, Rocky Mountain) and grew up camping with his Dad in the Great Smoky Mountains. Since moving to San Francisco, he has explored lots of hikes in the city and around the Bay Area such as Mt. Tam, Rodeo Beach / Tennessee Valley, Twin Peaks, Tilden Regional Park, Angel Island, Skyline, Point Reyes, and more. See you on the trail!
