🌿 Discover Gura Trail: A Riverine Adventure in Aberdares! 🏞️Walk the enchanting riverine in the lush valleys of the Aberdares on the captivating Gura Trail. Starting from the Gura Forest office, the mighty Gura River, less than 30 meters away, beckons with its thunderous flow, destined to join others on its journey to the Tana River.
Trail Highlights:
Embark on a 13 km riverine walk, tracing the footsteps of elephants as the Gura River branches into Gura 1 and 2. This section, the only steep and treacherous part, echoes with the call of the falls, urging us to push on. False thunder from smaller cascades encourages you, and when the majestic waterfall finally unveils itself, everything else dissolves, leaving only a smile and arms ready to embrace the natural spectacle.
A platform offers a distant view, but the courageous can venture closer for a spectacle like no other. After immersing in this beautiful environment, we descend, crossing the river countless times. Get ready to get wet or opt for gumboots.

Trail Details:
- Length: 30km
- Difficulty: Difficult
- Duration: 8-10 hours
Trip Itinerary:
4:30 am: Depart Nairobi for Gura, expected to arrive and start the hike at 8:30 am.
12:30 pm: Enjoy your packed lunch or snacks from the viewpoint, surrounded by scenic wonders.
6:00 pm: Bid farewell to Gura as we journey back to Nairobi, expecting to arrive at 9:00 pm.

What to wear and items to carry;
Wear comfortable running shoes or Waterproof hiking boot preferred
Wear hiking/gym pants (avoid jeans)
Polyester T-shirt (like the football jerseys) carry an extra one to change after the hike

Drinking water (3litres)
Sun screen (Arimis oK) and Insect repellent

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel more than 48 hours before your scheduled trip departure, a 50% of the fee will be charged.
If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled trip departure, no refund fees will be provided.
No shows are responsible for 100% of trip fees.
