Join the JSU Field School the 1st Friday and 3rd Saturday of every month in 2025 for a guided hike. We’ll discuss the plants, animals, and natural history of the area as we hike the trails.If you're feeling adventurous, then come with us for an arduous 2-mile hike on Powell Trail to the banks of Beautiful Little River at the Little River National Preserve. Please wear footwear suitable for hiking. Bring water, sun protection and possibly a snack
WEATHER: As with all outdoor events, if it's raining/stormy or very poor trail conditions, we may have to cancel. If the weather is questionable, please check with the Canyon Center.

- Where: Meet at the Little River Canyon Center at 10:00 AM CDT - Fort Payne, Alabama on AL Hwy 35. We will caravan to the trail head.
